My hotmail E-mail does not work anymore! Print E-mail
Written by Jalil

We're doing some maintenance to improve the service. We apologize for getting in your way. Has it been more than an hour?

This is the message I get when I try to send an email, and I can't seem to receive any incoming emails in my inbox.

This problem has been occuring since more than three days now!

Of course there is no customer support from hotmail, so if this continues to be the case then I will be losing my email account for good!!

If there is anyone out there with the same issue please let me know how it is going.

For a number of days now, I am not able to access my email: i cannot open, send and receive. The message I gett is: We're doing some maintenance to improve the service. We apologize for getting in your way. Has it been more than an hour?"' Then, there is something written which says: return to windows live or something. When I do this, there are a lot of stuff written but none of my concern could be found. It's very disappointing why this has to happen. Since we don't receive any customer support from hotmail, we cannot address the problem and it continues. Is there somebody who can help? I would be very pleased and thankful! Thanks very much in advance!

Yes, that's true, you will not be able to receive emails during the period you have this issue.. and you will not be able to send any emails.

It was frustrating for me because it was in the middle of communications with a client.

I had this issue for about 4 to 5 days, after which everything worked fine.

When i had the problem, I was able to log in and read emails, but could not send emails and got that error message.

So if it just started happening, it could last for a couple of days. Microsoft are always having problems with their servers

Some more information: The message appears just after sign-in. I can't even see my inbox. Sometimes a message is given for trying to get to hotmail again (I forgot the exact text) . It does'nt work. Inconvenient.

For me the same message appears: We're doing some maintenance to improve the service. We apologize for getting in your way.
Can you keep me updated on this problem. I will also try my best to find out.
thanks

I am having the same problem as you, but it is milder... I am able to intermittently enter the account, the Inbox, and even each email message, but the annoying message still appears.

I succeed in viewing a message by clicking insistingly in the message line; however, when i try send a reply, I have not been able to get it through without the annoying maintenance message.

What a bummer!
